Everything you need to know about renting a car in Pula
You need a valid ID or passport, a valid driving licence held for at least 3 years, and a valid payment method for the €500 deposit or credit card preauthorization. All details must be accurate and match the rental agreement.
The vehicle may only be driven by renters who are at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence for a minimum of 3 years. The same conditions apply to any additional driver.
Vehicles are handed over in good condition with a full fuel tank, unless stated otherwise in the agreement. You are responsible for:
Paying for all fuel consumed during the rental
Returning the car with the same fuel level as at pickup
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, refuelling and a service fee may be charged.
Unless otherwise stated in your specific offer or contract, rentals typically come with generous mileage suitable for normal use. If any mileage limit or extra charge applies, it will be clearly stated in your booking confirmation or rental agreement.
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of gas, it is upon the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank as it was handed to them. Should they fail to comply additional charges will apply.
Cross-border travel may be possible only with prior approval from Neel Con d.o.o. You must inform us before the rental if you plan to travel outside Croatia. Additional restrictions, documentation or fees may apply, and some countries or regions may not be allowed. Using the vehicle outside permitted areas without consent may result in full liability for damages and costs.
Rental charges are paid according to your offer and rental agreement, typically:
A deposit of €500 or credit card preauthorization is taken at the start of the rental
The rental amount is paid in line with local law and payment terms stated in your contract
Details of accepted payment methods (cards/cash) will be provided at booking or pickup.
A €500 deposit or credit card preauthorization is required to cover:
Possible damage not covered by insurance
Fuel differences, lost keys/documents, or unpaid extras
Traffic and parking fines related to the rental period
Once the vehicle is returned in the agreed condition and all costs are settled, the deposit or preauthorization is released in accordance with your bank or card policy.
You must return the vehicle on the date and time specified in the rental agreement. If you need more time, you must obtain approval from Neel Con d.o.o. at least 24 hours in advance.
Unauthorised extensions may be treated as illegal appropriation of the vehicle, and Neel Con d.o.o. may inform the police. In such cases you can be held morally and financially responsible, and extra rental days and fees will apply.
Yes, an additional driver is allowed only if they are listed and authorized in writing on the rental agreement. The additional driver must:
Be at least 21 years old
Have a valid driving licence for at least 3 years
Unauthorized drivers are not allowed and may result in full liability in case of damage or accidents.
Yes, baby seats and booster seats can be provided on request, subject to availability. Please request them when you make your reservation so we can prepare the correct seat type for your child. Additional fees may apply.
In case of an accident:
Immediately call the police (192) to obtain an official report.
Contact Neel Con d.o.o. as soon as possible and follow the instructions given.
Collect names, addresses and contact details of all parties and witnesses.
Do not abandon the vehicle without proper arrangements for its safety.
If you fail to follow these steps, you may be held responsible for damages and consequences.
In case of mechanical failure not caused by misuse, notify us immediately. You are not liable for defects if you used your best efforts to prevent them, but you must inform us so we can arrange assistance.
Yes. During the rental period, you are responsible for:
All parking fines, traffic tickets and other legal violations related to the vehicle
Any extra costs arising from these violations
If Neel Con d.o.o. has to handle or process fines on your behalf, an administrative fee may apply.
You must return the car with all keys and documents you received. If keys or documents are lost or not returned, you will be charged for:
Replacement keys and reprogramming if necessary
Replacement of vehicle documents and any related administrative costs
Transport of animals, combustible or explosive materials, goods with strong or unpleasant odours, or anything that may damage or excessively soil the vehicle is not allowed. Any damage or deep cleaning resulting from such use will be charged to the renter.
Smoking policies may vary by vehicle. If smoking is not allowed and the car is returned with strong smoke odour or burn marks, a cleaning and/or damage fee may be charged. For comfort of all guests, we strongly recommend treating all vehicles as non-smoking.
To cancel or change your booking, please contact us as soon as possible using the contact details provided in your confirmation. Any cancellation or modification conditions, including possible fees or deadlines (for example, changes less than 24 hours before pickup), will be specified in your offer or rental confirmation.
